Steve Gordon, Managing Director heads our Banking Services Division. He is responsible for managing consulting projects for Banks, Thrifts, Credit Unions, Investment Managers, and other large Financial Institutions. Steve has extensive experience in Corporate Finance, Trading and Investment Banking having served in senior capacities with several large Money Center financial institutions. Steve began his career in Credit and Corporate Finance at Bankers Trust Company, before transferring to their trading floor and helping to establish Bankers Trust’s original Over-The-Counter Derivatives Trading Group. Subsequently, he headed up the Capital Markets Department for NatWest Bancorp (USA) where he was responsible for providing OTC interest rate, commodity and equity derivatives services to clients. In addition, Steve’s Department was responsible for executing the OTC derivatives hedging for NatWest’s own balance sheet management and also providing Taxable and Tax-Exempt private placements to NatWest’s corporate clientele. Subsequently, Steve returned to Bankers Trust where he served as a Managing Director in both Equity Derivatives and Insurance Derivatives. Here he focused on credit portfolio modeling projects. Since 2000 Steve has served as a Managing Director and consultant specializing in risk quantification projects for financial institutions. During that period he has managed numerous model design and validation projects for major institutions including Banks, Thrifts, Hedge Funds, and a number of other large Financial Institutions and Multilateral lenders. The Banking Division assembles each project team from WSN’s pool of highly qualified professionals. Our senior staff is composed almost entirely of mathematicians or actuaries with industry leading expertise in the fields that are critical to financial risk modeling techniques.
